State Department Temporarily Halts Visitor Visa Processing for Gazans

Flights for injured Gazans had reportedly arrived across the U.S.

The Department of State has temporarily halted all U.S. visitor visas for residents of Gaza. The department said it is conducting a review of medical-humanitarian visas after a podcaster questioned “flights of Gazans arriving“ in the United States.

“All visitor visas for individuals from Gaza are being stopped while we conduct a full and thorough review of the process and procedures used to issue a small number of temporary medical-humanitarian visas in recent days,” the State Department announced.

The State Department increased vetting for visa applications in June, expanding reviews to include online activities and social media posts by applicants. France has also suspended its acceptance of Gazans into their nation.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary of State Rubio as he oversees the review of visa applicants for travel into the U.S.
  • For State Department officials to be prudent in their vetting of applicants as they check for support of terrorism or criminal activities.
